This matters because in a world that is constantly moving, having a reliable internal anchor allows us to navigate challenges without losing our center. When we find our sacred anchor, we move from reacting to the world to responding from a place of peace.
Understanding these internal sanctuaries helps us build the practical somatic habits we will explore in our sessions this week. A somatic anchor is a specific physical sensation or focus point that helps calm the nervous system, signaling to your brain that you are safe in the present moment and moving you back into a state of balance.
